Shameless plug -- Couponing - Thursday, October 02, 2008

Heather has started doing coupon classes to teach people how to maximize coupons with sales in order to get the best bang for your buck.  Examples of savings that she frequently gets is cereal for free or $0.10/box, free razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.  One of her best trips would have cost $130 at regular price... she got all her groceries for $1.29.

The classes themselves cost absolutely nothing, she wants to share the information.  The only cost that you might incur is if you sign up for some newspaper subscriptions (let her explain how it all works though) to get your coupons.  Feel free to contact her to set up a class at your home.

Temporary Look - Friday, September 26, 2008

Jeremy has requested that I change the look to something a little more dark.  I'm still going to create a look that fits what we want, but just needed something temporary to get us through for now.

 Website Road Map Minimize

As we get this site up and running the following are items (not in order) that I intend on putting up:

  • Family Genealogy (including branches)
  • Family blogs (Grandma/Grandpa, others)
  • Photos
  • Family Stories (anybody can share stories; would be nice to include "family history" type ones so we can get to know our ancestors)
  • Cabin Calendar (dates that are taken, dates that are available)
  • Reskin (new design)
  • More as suggested!

Welcome to the new family website for the Stoutsenberger Family (descendants of Marvin and Shirley Stoutsenberger).

 Call for Suggestions Minimize

Obviously the site is pretty dry right now (both in appearance and content).  I'm starting to upload photos and think about the content we should have on here but I'd love to have some comments and suggestions.  As far as the web design is concerned I'm leaning towards a rustic, cabin-like feeling (as discussed with Grandpa during Christmas in July 2008).  Any photos you all have of the cabin itself and the outlying areas would benefit me with that.

You can email me at jtseeley[at]comcast.net or jon[at]stoutsenberger.info with suggestions (I've removed a direct link to my email address to prevent email harvesters from spamming me).

Thanks all and spread the word to all family members who fall under the Stoutsenberger lineage!

BTW -- I also could really use some information about our genealogy on that side so I can start putting that page together.  Still trying to figure out the "best" way to do so.  I was thinking a Wiki for now (so anybody I extend access to can edit it), but I'm not sure that is really the best way.  I'd like it in whatever format you can get it to me, but GEDCOM (PAF) files would work just dandy.
